Google South Africa searches reports show that the demand for personal loans has almost double this month as compared to same time last year. The leading search term is blacklisted personal loans. The second term that is also high is bad credit personal loans.

Blacklisted Personal Loans

Blacklisted personal loans are loans that are offered by financial institutions that are prepared to take risk. Traditional banks no longer offer loans to blacklisted people especially those with a judgements in their names. You will need to remove blacklisting first before banks can give you a loan. There are some creditors who offer blacklisted loans although they charge high interest.

Bad Credit Personal Loan


This type of a loan is given to people who might be listed on ITC but are not necessarily listed as a default or a judgement. It might be that you have a couple of accounts but have not be paying them on time. If a bank gives you this type of a loan, they will up your loan repayment interest.

NCR Warns Against Loan Burden


The National Credit Regulator has expressed concerns about the increase of personal loans demand as it means that people are spending more than they are earning. According to NCR, many of these creditors who give personal loans always charge huge interest than required by law. Ncr says that they are concerned about online loans providers as this may lead to identity theft and warned people to try and avoid taking personal loans from unregistered provider.
